no pictureJudith Mtsewu is the co-ordinator for a programme entitled 'Empowering Children and the Media' which is part of the NGO Media Monitoring Project in Johannesburg. She co-ordinates a university course on Childen in the Media and has good gender credentials. Judith taught at various academic institutions before beginning her Masters’ Studies in Public Policy at the University of Witwatersrand in 2007. A course which she hopes will help her change the world – make it more people-centred. On her arrival in Johannesburg in 2006, she worked for Gender and Media Southern African Network (GEMSA) as a research officer. While there she participated in research projects on Local Government and Gender and The costs of Home-based care. Her other interests are: gender and HIV and AIDS.
