ABOUT Betsy Groban

Betsy Groban, Senior Vice President and Publisher at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Children’s Book Group, began her career as an editorial assistant at Harper & Row and rose through the ranks of the editorial and marketing departments at Little, Brown and Parker Brothers. She was VP, Associate Publisher and Director of Marketing for Children’s Books at Little, Brown before joining WGBH as Managing Director of WGBH Enterprises in 1998. Betsy has been a longtime book reviewer for the New York Times Book Review and teaches at the Columbia Publishing Course and Simmons College.  She was graduated from Barnard College with a degree in English literature and has taken graduate courses in business at the Wharton School and the Harvard Business School.
