ABOUT Beth Carmona (Brazil)

In addition to her professional experience in developing quality programming, Beth Carmona is also a researcher of television and has participated in many events organized by UNICEF and the Prix Jeunesse Foundation, Japan Prize, Quality TV in Colombia, Prix Jeunesse IberoAmericano in Chile,  as jury, speaker  and moderator. In 2001, she coordinated the Latin America panel in the II World Summit Children and Television-London and, in 2002, was member of the Organization Committee for the III World Summit in Greece. In 2004, together with MULTIRIO and TVE Brasil , she hosted and organized the IV World Summit on Media for Children and Adolescents, attended by 800 people from all continents.



Beth Carmona graduated in Jornalism and Radio and Television at University of São Paulo-USP and started her professional career at TV Cultura-São Paulo.  In 1999, she moved to Miami hired as Director of Programming and Production for Latin America and Iberia in  Discovery Kids and  Animal Planet. Between 2006 and 2007, Beth was  Director-President of Associação de Comunicação Educativa Roquette Pinto/ACERP,  TVE Rede Brasil, a federal public organization responsible for the operation of two educational television channels – TVE  in Rio de Janeiro and TVE Maranhão.
